Client Overview
A jewelry company based in Wyoming, US, is dedicated to creating meaningful keepsakes that foster emotional connections. Over the years, the company has expanded its product line based on customer feedback, offering a wide range of ethically crafted jewelry with a focus on quality and affordability. While generally well-received, some customers have reported occasional challenges with shipping and customer service.
Challenges
The project required us to manually test the webshop’s UI, identify all possible bugs, and provide suggestions for areas where improvements or better solutions were needed. To ensure an efficient and structured approach, we:
- Defined and formulated a systematic testing approach for evaluating the webshop’s functionalities.
- Logically divided the webshop among team members to streamline testing and maximize coverage.
- Established a clear documentation format to ensure issues and suggestions were presented in a structured and understandable way for the client.
Solution
We conducted a thorough UI test of all webshop functions, carefully documenting each identified issue and suggestion. The test campaign lasted two weeks, where the first week was dedicated to gathering information and exploratory testing, allowing us to understand the webshop’s functionality and potential weak points before diving into structured test execution. Throughout the process:
- We reported over 20 bugs affecting different webshop functionalities.
- We provided 4 major suggestions to improve existing features and enhance the overall user experience.
- We followed a structured documentation format to ensure clarity and readability for the client.
By taking a methodical approach, we delivered a comprehensive and well-organized report, helping the client address critical issues and optimize their webshop’s performance.
